About me

Rev. Samuel Toung graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1992 with Ph.D. in Molecular and Cell Biology.  Thereafter, he worked as a research associate at Department of Biology at Stanford University from 1992 to early Spring of 1997.  In 1996, Rev. Toung responded to God's calling to enter the ministry and studied at Overseas Theological Seminary under the instruction of late Rev. John Tsang.  In 1999, Rev. Toung graduated with Master in Divinity. In 2016, he received his Doctor in Ministry degree from Logos Evangelical Seminary.

 

From 1991 till today, he and his wife, Shirley, began serving the Lord at Central Chinese Christian Church in Palo Alto, California.  During that time, he also served as a lecturer at Overseas Theological Seminary, and traveled to Japan, Moscow, Taiwan, Myanmar and other places in Asia to lead teaching and worship services.  Rev. Toung is also actively involved in cultivating young students at seminary, as well as teaching courses such as the Old Testament, the New Testament and Practical Theology.

 

In 2011, Rev. Toung was entrusted with the task of overseeing and shepherding the Central Chinese Christian Church, and teaching at his alma mater, Overseas Theological Seminary, to continue developing and preparing for more young God's servants.
