Brief History

Overseas Theological Seminary was first established in Hong Kong in the fall of 1966 with Rev. John L. Tsang as the founding president. In the first year of our existence, we had 13 new students. We rented a 6-story facility on Prince Edward Road to meet our campus and housing needs. With the miraculous provision from the Lord, we acquired a spacious long-term campus in 1967 at Waterloo Road in Kowloon Tong. That served as our campus for about 30 years until the Seminary was moved to San Jose, California in 1996.

The Seminary in Hong Kong graduated 30 classes altogether, with alumni exceeding 400 in number; most of them still serve the Lord as pastors, ministers and missionaries around the world.

The Seminary in San Jose started its preparatory stage at the end of 1994, and full operation in Fall, 1996. At present, the Seminary is already in its fourteenth year of existence, with a total number of 115 students (11 classes) graduated. They are respectively serving the Lord in various fields.
