Pastor Lam and his wife, Sister Li Xuanhua, are jointly responsible for pastoral care, teaching, training, and church planting at the church. Pastor Lam’s ambition is to work with his colleagues to build a healthy, growing, and missionarily vibrant church, enabling the Chinese church to truly carry on the last leg of the mission and become a powerful missionary force. Pastor Lam graduated from Hong Kong Overseas Theological Seminary and the Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary in the United States. He finally obtained his Doctor of Pastoral Studies degree from Westminster Theological Seminary. In addition to his church work, Pastor Lin is frequently invited to speak at various conferences and summer camps in the United States, Canada, and Asia. He also serves as a visiting professor at the North American Chinese Evangelical Seminary, the Righteous Way Theological Seminary, overseas seminaries, and the Taipei Chinese Evangelical Seminary, teaching master’s and doctoral programs. Besides pastoral work and teaching, Pastor Lin is currently the editor-in-chief of the American Messenger magazine (on a voluntary basis), the vice chairman of the board of directors of the Chinese Evangelical Fellowship, and a certified visiting and research commissioner of the American and Canadian Theological Society (ATS).
