I. Academic Policies
- Credits/Units:
Students should prioritize taking required courses over electives.
Students enrolling in 12 units or more are considered full-time student。 - Attendance Requirement:
As class attendance is crucial for the acedemic pursuit, students are to have full attendance of every course taken. However, students are allowed to be absent up to two sessions in case of illness or other reasonalbe causes. If an absence is anticipated, student must email seminary office and submit the Absence Request Form. Students must also inform and get approval from the professor at his/her earliest convenience. For absences more than 3 days due to illness, a note from attending physician is required. - Academic Report:
An academic report must done with utmost diligence, integrity, and honesty, and according to professor's requirements. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited. First violation will result in a no grade for the course and a second violation will result in expulsion. - Examinations:
The final week of each semester is Exams Week. Exams are to evaluate a student's comprehensive understanding of the entire course material. The scope and method of exams are determined by the professors.
II. Grading Scale

III. Adding, Dropping, and Auditing Courses
Students may add or drop courses within the first two weeks of each semester and must email seminary office to inform the changes. Auditing a class is only available to graduates and students who have previously taken the course. Piano class cannot be audited.
IV. Extension of Course
A grade of Incomplete (noted “I” on the transcript) may be assigned when a student’s work in a course has been of passing quality but is incomplete due to circumstances beyond the student’s control. Students may apply for extra time to complete the coursework by contacting the Academic Dean.
V. Minimum GPA Requirement
If a student's GPA drops below 3.0, it will be recommended to take lesser units.
VI. Transfer of Credits
Transfer students from another seminary will be eligible to apply for transfer credit after finishing one semester of study at OTS. Units that can be transferred will be determined by the Academic Dean.
VII. Practical Training
Masters Program requires practical training. Churches partner with OTS to help Master's students fulfill the requirements as specified in "Internship Supervisor Evaluation Form, Form A".
VIII. Graduation
Students who plan to graduate must submit the "Application for Graduation Form" to the seminary office. The graduating committee will evaluate and approve the student's request for graduation.
