OTS welcomes Dr. Tim Tseng and his associates from “Institute for the Study of Asian American Christianity” on April 26th, Saturday 9.30AM to 3.45 PM. Lunch will be catered with FREE admission sponsored by ISAAC. What a deal!!
This is a special event as great deal of research into the challenges the South Bay Area churches face will be presented by Dr. Tseng and his colleagues.
The morning session will focus on this topic "Chinese Churches in Santa Clara County in 1996" presented by Dr. James Chuck, pastor of First Chinese Baptist Church San Francisco.
The afternoon session is a workshop called "Understanding the Issues and Challenges in Our Congregations" facilitated by the Rev. Don Ng, senior pastor of First Chinese Baptist Church San Francisco.
Dr. Tseng's passion for the next generation is renown. His credentials include being a pastor in Brooklyn Chinese Christian Church and more recently a seminary professor of church history in American Baptist Seminary.
His passion leads him to research and publish much in the area of Asian American ministry so that we can help the next generation hold on to both their faith and their unique kingdom identity in this society.
We welcome all pastors and church coworkers who are interested in making our English ministry a success and making a difference in our complex society.
For RSVP, please email Dr. Tseng at timtseng@isaacweb.org by the end of March so that he can calculate for the cost of the conference. If you can, please bring a love offering to help Dr. Tseng offset the cost.
All the faculty of OTS would love to meet leaders from your church so that we can strategize, dialogue and serve the kingdom together.
