This book kicks off a series by Ming Dao Press with many more written by Dr. Tsang who takes the challenge of explaining AND applying a difficult book of the Bible. Typical of this series, this book brings together updated academic research to make it accessible to the reader in the pew. Narrative in the Old Testament is commonly interesting but notoriously hard to apply. This book shows both the interest in the narratological artistry of the author with an eye for application. It promises to edify the educated laity and stimulate discourse on hermeneutical methods. It takes interpretive clues from the author's writing style and structure. The book of Judges is still clearly applicable for the 21st century reader.
